This is my very first post, but I could not resist any longer. I am a nursing student and I have been enjoying this board for the last few months and though I just now logged in, I wanted to tell all of you how much I appreciate the intelligent and "real" conversations and advice that I find here.
Sometimes, I feel bad about the things that others are going through and sometimes I just laugh til it hurts. It is good to see that nurses have a great sense of humor.....which by the way is NOT allowed in nursing school. More importantly though is that I can see how much you all care for one another, your fellow nurses, and the profession itself. You are the reason that I get up at 4am and go to clinical and why I wrestle with my care plans
until the wee hours of the morning...because I see that nurses are a wonderful, caring and intelligent bunch of people and because someday I hope to a part of that.
My fourth year of school will start in August and then only 2 semesters to go! I am very excited and nervous about that. I am 31, married and 3 kids, so it has been a long road. Thanks for the motivation!
