Just want to take this opportunity to thank every fellow nurse for what you do. Nursing is an important profession. We are the eyes and ears of our patients. We support them, teach them, and talk for them when they are unable. We run, check, double-check, put out one "fire" after another. Although it may not always be apparent, we do make a difference. Sometimes I love nursing, sometimes I hate nursing, but I do the best I can under varying circumstances. Thank you, nurses, for what you do. We are in this together. God bless and know that good thoughts are being sent out to all of you tonight.

Sue, what a sweet post! And thank YOU! I felt a little homesick as I read your post, being between jobs right now. Geez, I'll be so glad to start my new job in June. I've been a nurse for 12 years. I resigned my last job March 28. This is the first time I've been an 'unemployed nurse'. The break has been much needed - but I'm BORED, and I didn't realize how much I've started to miss it til I just read what you so eloquently stated. Take care and God Bless You!!!
