  1. Is there a medical term for "projectile vomiting?" Perhaps combining "emesis" with "rrhage" or "rrhagia"

I think it is hyperemesis - but I prefer the term 'power puking'

No, hyperemesis is frequent vomiting, like pregnancy causes. I've only heard it referred to as projectile vomiting.

I believe it was Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar who did the definitive study of projectile vomiting in their famous work, "Wayne's World". Hurling, I am almost certain, is the appropriate terminology.

Yes - those fine scholars also use the term 'spew' interchangeably with 'hurl.'

Ex: 'If you're gonna spew, spew in this.'

I beg to differ, I would contend that there is a small but important difference between hurling and spewing. Hurling involves higher velocity and greater distance. Thus, I believe it more closely approaches the definition of projectile vomiting.

    Party on!

I agree, there is absolutely a difference between "hurling" and "spewing". In between those two extremes you also have yak, upchuck, and barf.

Aren't you glad you know the difference?
