Starting a staffing agency

This is the problems that I've seen. It's simply an inconvenience for a hospital/health agency to get on the phone to seek out one individual. When they can't get a hold of or if that nurse is not available, they move on down to the nxt. 10 calls later they decide to just call an agency. One phone call and its done. Convenience is the key. I am currently creating a company that merely represents the independent nurse. You would work for yourself but the company makes you available and markets you to the hospital. Naturally there is a very small fee. Minimal compared to what you will make. IN Summary, you get paid what your worth, you do not have to hassle with the contracts etc, and the agency doesn't take $7 from you every hour. Sound good. Feel free to reply. yes...I do and it can be done and I am sooo glad to hear you say you would rather have a 1099. Great place to start.

I was in your shoes in 1991 when I left charge nurse of CCU and started a medical cost containment corporation. NOT sure that's the decision I'd make today, but it worked well in the early to mid 90's...

First place you want to start is by talking to a GOOD business CPA or Lawyer to help you see things you might not be seeing... and then talk to a GOOD liabililty Insurance person!! You will want to bump up your personal insurance if you're going "bare" and MAJOR max it out if you're gong to have employees that YOU as the employer are responsible for!

Leaving bedside Nursing was the BEST decision I could have EVER made for me... Follow your dreams, set your goals, KEEP the FOCUS, and GO FOR IT!! Time freedom is absolutely WORTH fighting for!!
