I am going to a two year college for my RN and I am wondering if I will be eligible to train in a hospital for NICU or do I need a BSN? Could somone please let me know if they have any experience with this. I am still new to the whole thing. Thnk you

- May 11, '99 by CHRIS TAYLORYOUR DEGREE SHOULD NOT IN ANY WAY PREVENT YOU FROM GOING INTO A NICU SETTING. A BSN DEGREE DOES AFFORD PEOPLE THE ABILITY TO BE MORE MARKETABLE AND ADVANCE INTO MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS.
I WOULD DEFINETLY NOT RULE OUT OBTAINING FURTHER NURSING DEGREES, IT JUST DOESN'T HAVE TO RIGHT OFF THE BAT.
WITH A NURSING SHORTAGE, JUST YEARS AWAY, YOU WILL SEE THAT GETTING A POSITION IN A HEALTH CARE SETTING QUITE EASY.
