While on the wait list for the ADN program I started and just about finished a BA in Health Care Administration. I went adult ed and was 18 months into it when my number came up for ADN. I have 3 classes to take yet to finish the BA. Maybe you should look into something like that. The classes are accelerated. Good Luck

Your lack of experience could be a major difficulty here. Could you relocate if it was close to where you are now? Maybe try another type of unit with bedside nursing to see if you like it more?

You need at least a years experience in order to get the type of jobs you are looking for. If you graduated in December 07, you probably started orientation in January, started working on your own in April and this is the beginning of May. 6 weeks of experience is not enough.

If you went into L&D straight out of school, which is a very narrow specialty, maybe you should look at other floors and get some general nursing under your belt. Med-Surg would be a great place if you want to end up in case management. Case managers need to understand what should be done for each client.
