Crocs or Klogs

This is SO dependent on your build and your feet.

I can't wear most shoes, inclduing Crocs. The best FOR ME are $22 Cobbie Cuddlers from K-Mart. They're better on MY feet than Dansko, EasySpirit, NurseMates, Springbok - you have to find out what works for you.

As to clothing. I can not wear Barco as they're cut for juniors and I haven't been a junior size since I hit puberty. Same with Urbane and MetroScrubs. Haven't tried Dickies. Cherokee fits me best. I'm a true large in everything except their mock wraps, in which I'm an XL. LA Rose size up one. Same with Peaches and Landau. I can not wear unisex since I have ginormous hips and a small waist.

Nurse mates are good ones for not having a logo. The cuddlers the other poster refered to are really comfortable as well as dr.schols from walmart. It really does depend on your feet, I prefer something soft.

depends on your feet -- danskos are perfect for me, and since i buy mine at the outlet, they're cheaper. i used cross trainers for years -- reebok, new balance, saucany, acsics -- you name it. but the orthopod says that's what contributed to my knees going bad . . . .

I have Quarks. They are SUPER light. They also make them in a clog as well as a closed shoe, which is important (in nsg school, we were not allowed to wear clogs...but the clogs are great cause they let my feet swell without constricting them).

I wear urbane scrubs and dickies. They are actually cut really nicely and dont make me look like a sack of potatoes.

I suggest you not buy these online or from a catalog. Find a scrub store, go try different stuff on, mark down the size, then see if you can get it cheaper online. I always buy my stuff at the store though (by the time you figure shipping and handling and the wait time, its just not worth it for me ;))

SAS, about $120 per pair for women, $150 for men. They last about a year, and every few months you change out the insoles. Most comfortable pair I have ever worn in nearly 19 years of nursing. My husband and son also wear them in their jobs as grocery clerks.

Walking shoes are best for me. Don't get running shoes - the soles are too hard.

I just bought Aviator scrubs (www.aviatorscrubs.com) and love them. They cost more, but look like they will last forever - heavy fabric and well-made. Also have many pockets as compared to most other brands.

My favorite shoes right now are nurse mates... I have several different pairs including one that they discontinued :( and the style called "dove"

My favorite uniform brand is nu dimension... they are so comfy and fit better than most scrub brands.
