Self defense and protection in a hospital.

So with the risk of an active shooter being real these days and all those darn "no firearms allowed" signs that don't do anything against a bad guy (but do put my job at risk if I carry on campus). We need other options.

One of the ones I really like is carrying the Kimber Pepper Blaster (Kimber America | Pepperblaster | The most powerful pepper defense system).

The other good option is a fire extinguisher (located all over facilities). Shoot the fire extinguisher into the bad guy's face and then smash their head in with the fire extinguisher once they are disorientated.

Read the initial post and stop jumping to conclusions. I am offering non-gun options for those of us who don't want to carry on hospital property.

And FYI. I have no fear. I've got a pistol in my pocket.

Okay, whatever you say.

I carry Mentos, myself. Fresh breath is a priority in my life.

it's usually just those who carry to feel less inadequate that want to carry at work.

I don't know if that's true. But that's a topic for another day. I think the two non-lethal options I discussed are good options.

Third reply, first paragraph. Scared mania. "Seriously - I would not want to work with nurses who carry concealed guns. Of course it it is concealed how would I know??? But still - the thought is scary."

Mania? No.

Fear of you vigilantes, here to save the day? Maybe.

I hope you have a utility belt in which you can store the mentos as to always have them available - for onion dish emergencies.

Gum here. Oh, and lip balm. I'm concerned about protecting myself from chapped lips.

My post was written tongue in cheek. I guess that was lost in the one dimensional medium.

No, I got it.

It was lost in the "mania"

No. It just looks wrong.

Many of us think it's 100% right!
