Rounds - hourly or q 2 hours?

Has anyone implemented hourly or q 2hour patient rounds? Does it work? If you've done it, I'd love to hear about it.

We do not have a mandated q1 or q2 hourly rounds, but I am constantly trying to peek my head in my pts doors just to check in. And then obviously if I have a pt that I feel needs more attention, then I try to at least peek in more frequently.

My facility has q2 policy but with my psych pts i make it q1 for my piece of mind
