request for information from a nursing informatics specialist

Hello, I am currently a nursing student in a BSN program. As a project for class, I am looking for a nursing informatics specialist to define his/her job, as well as provide information on how you were certified. Thanks for your time!

Default Re: request for information from a nursing informatics specialist
Its good to hear that current students are researching in the area of informatics. It is a great field, and there is always something new to be learned and experienced. For my job I provide clinical information and data analysis for patient care. It consists of data collection and analysis. A large part of my role is to evaluate and provide further future care measures if needed. I work daily in collaboration with many different health care professionals. I went to school and received my BSN. I also received my Nursing Informatics Clinical Nurse Specialist certification through the American Nurses' Association.

Hope this helps!
