Surgeon who left patient on operating table faces rape charges
    By Associated Press, 9/10/2002 20:28
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) The Boston surgeon who left a patient on the operating table for 35 minutes while he went to cash a check was arrested Tuesday and charged with raping a 15-year-old boy.

Dr. David C. Arndt will be arraigned Wednesday in Cambridge District Court on three counts of child rape and indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.

Police said Arndt picked up the alleged victim in Cambridge Sept. 5 and sexually assaulted him several times in his car. The incident was reported to police Monday.

According to police, the boy and Arndt did not know each other prior to the alleged incident.

The state Board of Medicine suspended Arndt for leaving a spinal fusion operation at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge on July 10. The patient, Charles Algeri, 45, of Waltham, was under anesthesia and had an incision in his back at the time.

Arndt was suspended by the hospital the day after the operation.

I think a nice trip to Boston is in order, I will grab the tickets and meet yall at the airport. I think I will grab a shopping cart for all the purses so only one person needs to stay with the cart and we can change people on and off while we kick this preditor around.

What an incredible loser!!! This piece of sub-human trash is beyond words. He needs a high-velocity lead implant right between the eyes. Give him .357, not .44, we don't want him getting toxic.

Why do I think of the word "cocaine"?
Sounds like a drug problem to me, if it's true. (It's just a charge so far, not a conviction.)

Hopefully the good doc didn't leave a patient on the operating table during this second incident! (If it occured.)

I have a really good Baseball bat for use.

Us Southern gals don't like to soil our purses on pond scum.

Too hard to find a nice one to match our shoes and our belt.
