Surgeon who left patient on operating table faces rape charges

By Associated Press, 9/10/2002 20:28

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) The Boston surgeon who left a patient on the operating table for 35 minutes while he went to cash a check was arrested Tuesday and charged with raping a 15-year-old boy.

Dr. David C. Arndt will be arraigned Wednesday in Cambridge District Court on three counts of child rape and indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.

Police said Arndt picked up the alleged victim in Cambridge Sept. 5 and sexually assaulted him several times in his car. The incident was reported to police Monday.

According to police, the boy and Arndt did not know each other prior to the alleged incident.

The state Board of Medicine suspended Arndt for leaving a spinal fusion operation at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge on July 10. The patient, Charles Algeri, 45, of Waltham, was under anesthesia and had an incision in his back at the time.

Arndt was suspended by the hospital the day after the operation.

Especially now that we all know what your a$$ looks like, as per the company picnic pic. ;)

Maybe he can go practice medicine at the Bridgewater prison facility for the next 25 to 30 years. He could make at least a carton of cigarettes a week there and wouldn't even have to cash them. He could also provide social entertainment for some of his fellow prisoners and see what molestation is like. Wouldn't that be justice? That is, after all the purse holding and baseball bat work is done and all :D

So sad that yet another child suffers from a sick and twisted adult.

Yes, a road trip is sure in order. I agree with Pappy, though. Lead therapy with the appropriate gauge (9 mm should also do the trick)...after the purse holding & batwork...and taking off one slice at a time with a dull knife...

Chuck, I like your idea, it's just that I don't like paying for such predators to live...it leaves the opportunity for releasing back into the community as an option for the system...and that's not a good option for our society.

Time for some restraint therapy...Let's tie him down... all fours spread eagle, get the curling iron and put it where the sun never ever shines, duct tape it of course so it doesn't fall out when he's jumpin around, turn it in on "high" and show him what a hot a$$ really feels like!!!...Number 10 pain will be obsolete, guaranteed! ;)

Have you ''Road Trip'' gals and guys been to Cincy...?....Not too long ago a child molester found himself at the mercy of some neighbor women who did'nt agree with the law that he should be free to walk the streets.....so they waylayed him and pulled on his gonads with their bare hands.......LR

Should have brought the portable curling iron! :)

Who is going to go get Cookie? I think she would love this assignment!

Road trip sounds good to me...Hey ! Vegas.....better call Cookie.....bet she`d have good ideas.......:D

OMG - throw this moron in the moat with the nurse anesthesist from the other thread who re-used needles repeatedly on different patients and the pharmacist who was watering down the chemo drugs. How the &%$**@ do some people sleep at night??
