It hurts my heart to see people in this world who are so unfortunate to not have ever felt the power of the love that Jesus Christ has for them. If you have ever felt His grace and mercy, you would know and understand how it is that Jesus died and rose from the dead. My prayers will be for you that you will one day be able to acknowledge the truthfulness and the fullness of Jesus Christ as the Savior and Redeemer of all believers!
And it hurts my heart that you are so unfortunate to have not felt the power and love of the One True G-d. If you ever felt his grace and mercy, you would know and understand why there is no need for someone to die on a cross. My prayers for you is that YOU will be able to one day acknowledge the Truth and fullness of G-d, and the fact no death, was required to save and redeem you,.... but only to know him.

from the dead. You see, I'm an intensive care nurse, and I know that once a person dies, that's the end. Maybe you can help me get past these doubts. -- Mrs. K.W.[/b]

    Dear Mrs. K.W.:
The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the most important event in all history -- and yes, incredible as it may seem, it really did happen.

In fact, it might interest you to know that one of the Gospels was written by a medical doctor (Luke). Like you, he knew that death is final and irreversible -- and yet he also gave us one of the most extensive accounts of Jesus' resurrection from the dead. Why? Because he had thoroughly investigated the evidence for Jesus' resurrection for himself and he knew only one conclusion was possible: Jesus had come back from the dead.

Why is the resurrection important? Why did God raise Jesus from the dead? One reason was to prove that Jesus was who He said He was: the divine Son of God, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. The Bible says that He "was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 1:4). The resurrection sets Jesus apart from every other person who has ever lived.

But the resurrection points to an even greater truth: Death has now been conquered! The grave is not the end, but heaven's doors are now open! Jesus is alive, and He wants to come into your life today. Why not discover this great truth for yourself by turning to Christ today?

Please allow me to send you something. That will explain things in an easy
manner. You first have to understand that God created everything. If
you made something like a table, would you not say that you know the
most about that table, more than anyone else. As humans we cannot
make a human, but God who is far great than us and superior to us, can
infact raise us from the dead, since he created us. I would enjoy sending
information to anyone-free of charge if you would like to read it.

    dear dr. graham,

i'd like to be a christian, but i have a hard time believing that jesus rose from the dead. you see, i'm an intensive care nurse, and i know that once a person dies, that's the end. maybe you can help me get past these doubts. -- mrs. k.w.

on the subject of jesus, well he could be the son of god, but maybe he was delusional too. his assertion that he was the son of god cannot be disproved, but it your responsibility to prove it if you wish other people to believe it. there is no reason for anyone to believe it without proof! otherwise, if you accept jesus' assertion that he was the son of god without any proof then you must also accept my assertion that "i am the son of god", as there is no difference in the claims being made or in the proof being offered that they are true. both claims are equally valid and acceptable.

the most important verse is john 3:16. christians believe in jesus by faith, we can't work our way into heaven. there are many things we believe in and know as fact that we can't see or have proof of (gravity, torque, moment, inertia, etc), but that doesn't make them any less true. there is a hymn, part of the words go: for i know that my redeemer liveth, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which i've committed unto him against that day..... that day is the second coming when believers will meet him in heaven......i pray that you will be there.....

It hurts my heart to see people in this world who are so unfortunate to not have ever felt the peace and enlightenment that can be found from The Buddha. Please know that I will be meditating for you that you will one day be able to acknowledge the truthfulness and the fullness of the Buddha and the way to lovingkindness and Nirvana.

"The Buddha asks us to love all beings as a mother loves her only child. Imagine a mother's love; does she merely radiate her love in the bringing up of her child? When a child is hungry she is watching carefully to feed it before it asks her for it. When the child is in danger she will even risk her own life; in every way she helps her child. If we can be like this model held up to the world by the Buddha, if we can do it even to a certain extent, the world will surely be a different place, happier and more peaceful."

actually there is a lot of proof such a flood never occurred, because no geologist has found any proof that a flood ever covered the entire world, and there should be lots of evidence since it would have been only a few thousand years ago. second, there is not enough water in the atmosphere, ice caps, or in the interior of the earth to cover the entire earth as described in the bible. third, if there were sufficient water in the air to flood the entire earth then noah and all of his little animals would have died. why? the pressure of the air with all of that moisture in the air would have made it impossible for him and all of little friend to breath. fourth, it is impossible to fit two of every animal on a boat that is approximately 450 feet long, and that doesn't include the food for them for months!

finally, it is true that carbon dating may be inaccurate if the dates being measured are only a couple of hundred years old. but according to geologists the earth is billions of years old and according to the bible it is only a couple of thousand years old. that is a factor of millions, and there is no reason to believe that carbon dating would be so inaccurate.

how could a book that claims to be the unadulterated word of god have factual and logical inaccuracies? why have all the miracles ceased since the advent of modern science? the conclusion is clear and simple religion and mysticism can only thrive in the absence of logic and rational thought.
trying to confuse faith with logic
    faith isnt based on logic

You got that one right honey, by dingies!!!! I can attest to the fact that I would not even be alive now if it was up to me to keep myself here. I had my first brush with death when I was born. I weighed 3 lb 11 ozs. Incubators were very crude and heated with lightbulbs.

My second one happened when I was 11. I had strep throat infection throughout my body. The doc wanted to hospitalize me, but mother said no.

Number three occurred when I was 19. I had Viral Encephalomengitis, and went into a coma, eventually landing in the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC.

Number four was when I gave birth to my child at home. I had no prenatal care and no doctor. DH didn't want to pay for one.

Number five occurred when I had an anyphylactoid reaction to Niacin. I was in and out of the hospital all summer that year.

Number six was when I had a pulmonary embolism. That made me have an out of body experience, and two IV teams were unsuccessful in maintaining a stable IV site. When I get sick like that, my veins and arteries stop giving. I am an IV tech or nurse's worst nightmare. They always stick me with pediatric needles only.

Number seven occurred when I had pneumonia for the first time in 2002. I was going into respiratory failure, and the staff was unable to stabilize my breathing. They poked my radial artery in both wrists for a solid 30 minutes unsuccessfully, when a doctor finally went into the artery with a syringe and extracted the blood. I was intubated, and had to have an ABG draw every day for ten days.

Number eight occurred just four months later. Only this time it was accompanied by septicemia. I bottomed out in the ER, and had to be intubated once again.

Then four months after that one, number nine occurred. A third case of bacterial pneumonia brought on via Fentanyl duragesic.

Any one of those incidents was severe enough to kill me, but God had decided that my time on earth is not yet finished. I am a living testimony of His love, provision, and power.

I no longer have any fear. It has been replaced with peace of mind, I no longer worry or have anxiety, because it has been replaced with faith that really delivers.

For example: My youngest daughter got herself involved with and even married a very abusive person who took all of her confidence away and replaced it with fear. The two grandchildren were terrified of him. I placed the situation in God's hands, and asked Him to take care of it, because I was unable to. She and my two grandkids moved to where we live on Easter Sunday. That answer to my prayers was the second very best Easter gift I have ever been given. The first one was the way to salvation by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus.

So I will never ever be convinced that God does not exist, because I know He does, and He is my Friend, Lover, Confidant, Savior, Father, Brother , and future Husband. I live to serve Him through the Holy Spirit He gave to me when I told Him I was finished with the hunk of trash I was, and gave myself over to Him to do with whatever He wished. At the time, I thought I was either going to die or become a missionary, but I didn't care which.

I would suggest you look him up. Since you are so hard core you might be interested in seeing what he has to say. Do a web search.
