I believe it used to be 140, but I can't remember offhand what it is now-

Does anyone know the non-fasting blood glucose number which is considered definitive for diabetes?

Thanks!

100 - 125 suggests pre-diabetes; >125 is diabetes

tnbutterfly,

The numbers you gave are for FASTING glucose - OP asked about Non-Fasting

Trigger level for non-fasting is more than one random test >200

Above 200 via lab draw at any two points in time with symptoms.

hmmm i was under the impression that over 150 had the potential to interfer with cardiac electrical activity

Then we're screwed if we've just eaten in the last two hours. :)

OOPs stand corrected, over 126 if fasting. 200 for non fasting. Thanks!
