Pat, Medceu is not an accredited CE provider with ANCC. They erroneously

claim to be approved through one of our approvers, the Alabama Nurses

Association. I also know that they claim to be approved through the

California board of nursing, but are not. I have had many

inquiries/complaints about Medceu. I have been told that both the AL

Nurses Association and the Florida board of nursing are pursuing

Medceu on criminal charges.

thank you for finding out more about medceu, i am working with my credit card co. to get the charge removed and this will help my cause. i went on and did ceu's with nursing matters and got my license renewed in time. wish there was a way to warn others about medceu before they get taken also. again thank you for your help.

You are VERY welcome. Perhaps there are others who have been deceived by this company. A letter to the editor may be in order.

For anyone still curious as to whether the Alabama State Board of Nursing truly accepts CEUs from "MEDCEU", you can click on the link below and see that on their web site, in the "continuing education" area, they have written in bold, red writing that they no longer accept these CEUs and have a phone number to call for more information on the matter.

I remember seeing this on their website back in September or October of 2002.

lou--Call your CC company and request them to remove the charge, and point out to them that this company is a fraud. You've got nothing to lose but a few minutes on the telephone, after all.
