  1. I just read an article that said Allina Health system in Minn. is laying off 1000 workers to get the money to hire temps to replace their own nurses who are going out on strike. Quote, "A strike would be very expensive for us", an agency is advertising, "$4000 to $5000 a week" for replacement temps. Why not just settle? Why do these healh institutions have millions for strike breaking and nothing for wages and benefits and retention?
