To get an overall basic view of salaries in the United States as well as a rough average of salaries please take part.

This is for nurses who perform the duties as outlined by many clinical based hospital rotations during nursing school.

This poll is not designed for case managers, nurse managers, full time charge nurses who do not take patient care assignments, etc.

This poll is also not meant to be used as way to say I really do not have it so bad and in someway cause contentment.

please adjust the polls to indicate full time or perdium/agency. it makes a big difference.

Tiger,

Actually in this poll it really does not make that much of a difference. This is a general polling.

I have worked as regular staff with all the benefits at lower rates. I have worked as perdium, contingent, local agency at a higher rate of pay without benefits. I have also worked local and travel agency at a higher rate of pay with benefits.

So this should be based solely on hourly wage alone.

You can start a poll about agency or regular staff if you so choose.

Just keep in mind that institutions all across the country pay out enough money that some local and the biggest percentage of travel agencies are able to provide good benefits to the nurse who agree to provide services for them, and they still make enough of a profit to grow.

So do hospitals and others who use agency pay higher hourly salaries and still pay for good benefits? You bet they do. Plus they pay extra on top of it.
