Please..What else can I do with an Associate Degree in Nursing

  1. I am having serious nursing burnout. I need to step away before I lose my marbles. I have looked and looked for other positions...something away from bedside care, with no luck. I know I will not make as much as I do as a nurse, but I need a change.

You can be a charge nurse at a LTC facility. That might keep your current money, maybe a little more, and less bedside nursing.

Go back to school? With an additional credential or two you can probably leverage your nursing experience into another career that pays well.

Doctor's office? Surgery center? Health Care Advocate? Triage for an Health Insurance Company?

Done all of those! Always went back to beside care as soon as I gathered my marbles back up again!

Somedays I think McDonald's sounds good!

Are you wanting to get out of nursing altogether, or just away from the stress of working in LTC?

I've got a friend that went to work for a pharma and is making big bucks -- she found if she talks to the docs AND their nurses, she gets more buyers....
