Plan B

Anyone else think Plan B will get GROSSLY out of hand? I think alot of 18 years old will be running to walmart every sunday nite!

Also, cant it hurt a woman' s body if she takes Plan b too many times?

This is going to sound bad, but maybe she doesn't want to say no. Women should be able to have sex and enjoy themselves also. Now granted, I'm all for using protection but condoms do break. I'm 35 and while I am not promiscuous by any means, I don't feel I should be made to feel "slutty" for actually enjoying sex...Tell the middle age guy at the pharmacy waiting in line to get his Viagra prescription filled to "just say no" (and incidentally, I bet insurance covers his Viagra to a greater extent than it covers my BCP's) and he'll look at you like you have 3 heads...;)

I love the plan B pill...it's about time

I hate the fact that it's "confused" w/ RU-486...as a previous poster said, it's essentially birth-control pills...It's NOT an abortion...You have to carry the baby...It's Just as much HIS responsibility, but, again, YOU have to carry the baby, many guys cruise after you get pregnant...Enjoy sex, but be responsible...Ensure he has a condom, or use another method...Don't rely on the guy, and don't rely on plan B

The problem I see is that several of the young girls/women who have requested plan B repeatedly also come in for STD testing very frequently. Many times they are positive for Gonorrhea or Chlamydia, sometime herpes and syphilis. So, what I worry about is unsafe sex with multiple partners and the spread of disease, esp those without a cure.

I'm glad plan b is available but hope there is not a correlation of increased spread of STDs.

It can cause an early abortion - if you believe, as some of us have stated, that the fertilized egg is fully human and that life begins at conception.

If the egg is prevented from attaching by an outside method or if a fetus is removed by an outside method, it is called a "theraputic abortion". If it happens due to some glitch in your body mechanics, then it is called a "spontaneous abortion". TAB vs. SAB in the physician's history and physical.
