Anybody out there using Ph guiding feeding tubes. We just started a new research project on them in the unit that I work on.

We use the pH guided Accusite tube for Nasojejunal feeding tubes. These were originally placed by me or the physician members of my department - Pediatric Gastroenterology. I have since taught the ICU nurses to place them as the demand for NJ tubes in the ICU is quite high. pH guided NJ tubes save patients radiation exposure since NJ tubes have historically been placed under fluoroscopy at our institution. We do not use them in the ICN due to their possible association with intestinal perforation in the neonate. If you have specific questions, let me know.
