No, you wouldn't wear face protection with contact precautions. Unless you think something will be splashing, then goggles and mask, that's standard.

You should really check your facility's MRSA policy. That should dictate what you must wear. That could be considered a minimum but you can always choose to wear more protection.

Some facilities advocate all-out PPE for any MRSA potential. Others have step programs that differentiate between different levels of infection/potential for transmission.

If it is in the sputum I gown, glove and mask with eye shield. I'm not taking any chances.
