Opening this Weekend: 'Alive Inside'

Nurses General Nursing

Many nurses here at AN have discussed the YouTube previews, and news articles, related to the documentary film "Alive Inside", for the last two years.

For those who have not experienced the benefits of music therapy, or have not heard of this documentary, this is a unique opportunity to learn a little something (while munching on some very expensive popcorn).

I think we could all benefit from a greater understanding of the ways we can 'bring to life' those glassy eyes that so often are silent, but have an exciting story to tell. So I wanted to share with everyone that the film is opening in many theaters across the country this weekend, with more premiere dates throughout September and October.

You can find the city and theater list HERE.

The film is also being distributed for private screenings, which might be useful for group settings at larger hospitals and healthcare facilities. I have no idea what this may cost, or when it would be available, just wanted to make everyone aware that the option exists.

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on the documentary.
