Online Stores?

  1. Can anyone recommend any online discount stores for stethescopes, uniforms, shoes, etc? If we aren't allowed to post it here, could you email me with the info. please. I am in desperate need of finding some deals on the items I need for school in the fall!

    TIA,

I've gotten several nice uniforms at very reasonable prices at allheart.com

I use tafford.com. Stuff is good, although not always the cheapest.

I used Allheart.com just recently for a stethoscope for clinicals in Sept. If you do a search on Google for "Allheart.com coupon codes", it will bring up links you can go through for discounts on certain items, like scrubs or free shipping, etc. I wished people just posted codes instead of links, but they work just as well.

At the risk of being tacky, may I recommend you to any of the allnurses.com sponsors?

i've used jasco for uniforms. never had a problem, but be aware that most uniforms run bigger than you expect - if you are between sizes, usually should go smaller.

if you want a cheap steth, any uniform company has them. if you want a better one, the "current" favorite in our hospital is an ultrascope. it is a glass head, individualized one - can hear better than with littmann cardiology (for most that have tried them). i haven't bought one yet, but will if my expensive one ever gives up the ghost. if you are interested...i found the following site to have them on sale http://www.rnsupply.com/ultrascope.html . usually they run $99, plus they can be engraved with your name. this site has them for $85 (if i remember correctly) - i recommended the site to my students when they were ready to buy their better steths after graduation.
