I am currently enrolled in an ASN program through Excelsior College. Look at http://www.excelsior.edu for more information. I believe this will be what you are looking for.

Deaconess College of Nursing in St Louis has an online basic ASN program. They also have a well respected traditional nursing program, as well as an RN to BSN online program.

Is CNA experience accepted for online nursing degrees? I thought applicants had to have documented clinical experience as a nurse, respiratory therapist or EMT to qualify??
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...but as far as I know there is no online program 'from scratch' for CNA's...or is there now?

Mattsmom.....you do have to have your LPN to apply to the ADN or BSN program at Deaconess....I live in MetroEast St.Louis and will be applying to Deaconess for the spring semester.
It's a great school and I'm looking forward to do it 'online'....
I'm going through Excelsior College, so i'm not too sure how Deaconess has setup their entrance criteria. For Excelsior i know you have to have some sort of medical background (i.e. lpn, emt) to be accepted into there program. so far i really like it.

Hey Sponge Bob,
You sit ontop of my med cart at least you did on Thursday...Hope you're still there when I go back tonight! We'll see...
Go to the Deaconess site (http://www.deaconess.edu) and take a look at the ASN online program page. They clearly states that you don't have to have an LV/PN. If you have a LV/PN it can work for you as well.
They have their catalog available in pdf and it's worth printing out though a bit long.

My immediate thoughts are.......... when I lived in the big city it took longer to drive to work compared to now when I drive 35 milles one way. It would take me 1 hour to get to school and I only lived 20 minutes away.
I would ruff it and just keep telling yourself that the pay off is coming
