Online CEUs May Not Be Accepted by NJ

Hello, I am an LPN in New Jersey and require 15 CEUs every year in order to retain my license.

I signed up with an online service called MEDCEU and have so far gotten 27 credits from them. Or so I thought. After doing some research, I am now very upset to learn that those credits will not be accepted by the State of New Jersey. Of course I should have checked it out first with the Board of Nursing, but we nurses are so pressed for time (let alone being so tired most of the time by the demanding hours that we work) that often we forget to do proper research.

I was wondering if anyone from NJ has also taken online courses from this company and has discovered that the credits earned are useless.

I have not only wasted my money but valuable time and now have to find a way to start earning credits from a REAL source, preferably online. I am very sorry that I did not come here first and do a search, as there are numerous posts regarding MEDCEU and what appears to be their false advertising "come on".

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated.
