Which one do you feed?

an old cherokee told his grandson, "my son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all. one is evil. it is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, & ego. the other is good. it is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, & truth." the boy thought about it, and asked, "grandfather, which wolf wins?" the old man quietly replied, "the one you feed"

so think about life at work as a nurse, think about your nursing co-workers, think about the way you treat your patients and ask yourself which one do you feed?

i know which one is easier to feed

Always hardest to ignore the hungry one, though, isn't it?

Great story, thank you!

Although, TDFIMedicRN-- I disagree. It may be hard to ignore the hungry wolf in the beginning, but in time, it grows quieter and weaker, until you hardly notice its presence at all.
