I am a resident of Missouri. I just moved here from the south. I have been accepted to a private nursing school. I am currently an LPN but, haven't started work yet. I need any information anyone can give me concerning any scholarships or grants that they know of. Private schools are very expensive and Missouri doesn't give out a lot of money. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are going for your RN, you would qualify for membership with the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). They have NUMEROUS scholarships which are awarded annually. Check out the website, www.nsna.org
You can also check with your state chapter of ANA. They have lots of scholarships and awards for students.
As a last resort, check with local hospitals. Many offer service scholarships. Basically, 1 year paid service for each year the scholarship is awarded.
Hope this helps!!!

Thanks for the information. Going back to school with one child and one on the way can be very costly.
