Nursing Practice Problem

  1. 0 Hi, I am working on a leadership project that focuses on a nursing practice problem. I am looking for a problem in nursing practice for which I can develop and implement an "evidence-based innovation and evaluation protocol" to help resolve such a problem. Does anyone have any thoughts on a nursing practice problem that needs to be addressed?

delegating is always a good one - personal responsiblity is another (what does that include? why is it important?)

Check your state's BON - they may have ideas on the website, like position papers that cover issues that have happened in the past.

One issue that is paramount to nursing practice: orientation of new grads/nurses onto the unit. This is a leadership issue with how and with what nurse to pair the new grad with. What qualities are required, is personality a determiner, or the length of the orientation. Brenner's model is a good start and from there you can develop your own model.
