This past week, I have only exercised once, but I usually exercise between 3-4 days a week. I also refrain from buying junk, and just buying "healthy" stuff. I do shop at a vegetarian grocery store, but only because their vegetables are cheaper. I cut down on my carb intake because I know that I got more than I needed and increased my protein and produce. I also live on lots of coffee and tea. This is how I get through my energy needs through my day.

I guess this survey was not intended to be pc as far as research techniques go, but giving only 3 options seems limited. There are lots of other ways to define healthy eating, other than organic/vegan. Although I eat meat, and won't stop, and I drink wine in moderation (about 3-5 glasses per week), eat only what I need to maintain a trim figure, little fried/fast food.
"Healthy lifestyles" includes lots of other issues--emotional, spiritual, etc.

I GUESS AS I'V GOTTEN OLDER, I HAVE BECOME A LITTLE HEALTHIER IN MY HABITS, BUT PROBABLY NOT MUCH TO SOME PEOPLES VIEWS. THERES NOT MUCH IN THE WORLD THAT I WON'T EAT, OR HAV'NT AT LEAST TRIED. I FIGURE ANYONE THATS LIVED ON MRES' FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME, AIN'T AFRAID OF ANY FOOD. I'V ALSO HAD MANY ANIMALS THAT I'V RAISED TO SLAUGHTER. I THINK IT ALL COMES DOWN TO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY, IF THE WHOLE GYM, ORGANIC, VEGGIE THING MAKES YOU WHO YOU ARE THATS COOL. OR IF YOUR THE TYPE THAT LIKES THE EXTRA RARE BEEFSTEAK WRAPPED IN BACON WITH A WHISKEY ON THE SIDE BACKED BY A DECK OF SMOKES. THATS COOL TOO. PEOPLE ARE WHO THEY ARE, AND AS NURSES WE SEE THEM ALL, AND WE ARE THEM ALL.

I am working on my pre-req's to start nursing school after 15 years out of school (I'm 34). The funny thing is, I'm not too worried about the classes as much as I'm embarrased about how much weight I have gained and how bad my nutritional habits are. My goal for this next year is to become a healthier eater, cut out sodas and start moving more. I don't see how I could tell a patient how to eat right when it is so painfully obvious that I've had my hand in the cookie jar too many times! :roll

No one seems to mention that "arsenic" or "lead" is natural and organic. LOL

    Actually...

Natural, yes. Organic, no. For them to be organic they would have to contain carbon. Since both of them are elements, this is impossible.

    Here -- have some nits!

I am a fast food addict! I eat out nearly every day. For the convenience mostly, but I do crave those juicy fat-ridden burgers and pizza. I am also a Dr. Pepper hound.

Yes, I know that I need better health habits. Yes, I know that I am fat, my cholesterol is probably sky high.

I try to excercise, but I hate doing it. I do not feel better afterwords, but instead I just want to sleep!

One of these days I will start eating right, excercising and quit smoking! For right now, it's all I can do to live my crazy schedule!

Kudos to all of you who eat healthy and exercise! You are my hero!
