Nurses dressing up for Halloween

Nurses Relations

Our company has sent a memo allowing us to dress up for Halloween and is even making a contest of it. Several nurses are really disgusted with the idea saying it is completely unprofessional. I've never dressed up for work, but I don't really care if others do. What is your view on the issue?

Halloween is my favorite holiday, and i go all in re: costumes every year! but i would never wear one to work! pretty much everything i make would not be work-appropriate ;) and no way would I risk ruining a costume by getting it dirty at work. save the kick-ass costumes for a PARTY!

i'm so glad i'm off work the day after Halloween this year! Last year i literally had to take the train from a street festival (which was still going on at 5 am) to work, changing clothes and grabbing an americano in the metro station.

im considering coming in white face or iggy azaela this year :roflmao:

We had a nurse dress up as a nun last year. I would have been totally freaked out if she came in my room and I was a confused elderly patient or psych pt.

Or if I was Catholic. I'm not, I'm completely Reformed... but you'd think people would know better.
