so what are we all gonna do? Wear giant name tags??? how about a yellow ribbon to identify ourselves as allnurses.com posters? gotta do something to be able to recognize each other in that crowd.

"Staffing Crisis Lobby Day, June 26, 2001

Plan to join nurses across the country as they take their message to Capitol Hill for the Staffing Crisis Lobby Day on June 26, 2001, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in Washington, DC. This will be an opportunity to unite with nurses, their families, colleagues, and friends to deliver a critical message that patients and nurses are at risk in today’s hospitals and that nurses are using the power to make hospitals safe . Lobby day will include a "a how to lobby" session, visits to Congressmen and women, a debriefing, and a media event. Download the PDFs of the registration form and hotel reservation form and join fellow nurses on June 26." http://www.UANnurse.org

I'm able to come, staying with my brother overnight outside Washington. He just moved to VA, haven't seen new home, doing two things at a time as usual. Lets try and set a central meeting place/time over next few days. Email:[email protected].

Meeting this month with PA state Senator Clarence Bell's staff paid off as he signed on as co-sponsor of mandatory overtime legislation. Bringing articles and info on shortage to give to Senator Spector, Senator Santorum and Rep. Curt Weldon.

OK, haven't gotten a hotel room, anyone willing to share a room? I actually may not be able to arrive until early am on the 26th but am planning to attend. And, by the way, you all will recognize me by my rhinestone nurse pin along with my LVN, RN and other "tags" on the same plastic. Of course, if you all ever decide on a ribbon, count me in. Someone will have to email me however cause I may not get back tothe bb before the march. If someone has a room and would be willing to share, email me privately, ok? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
