not smoking

  1. I am so proud of myself! I have gone 32 hours now with not even one puff of a cigg. It really hasn't been bad. I have had some withdrawl, but for the most part, I am doing it without too much effort, and I was smoking 2 packs a day. Wish me luck.

I am on week 25 with no smoking. It gets better. You will feel better. Don't be surprised if you start coughing up all kinds of crap soon.

Congrats! I'm 18 years without a cigarette. I was a three-pack a day smoker for 11 years! You can do it too!!!!

Don't be surprised if the psychological cravings persist, long after the actual physical desire to smoke goes away. I quit 12 years ago after smoking 2 1/2 packs a day, and I sometimes still caught myself looking for a smoke as long as 3 yrs. after I stopped. I'd go months without even thinking about cigarettes, then after a particularly good meal or during a traffic jam I'd find myself rummaging in my purse for one. BUT---always remember, "THIS TOO SHALL PASS". Keep up the good work!!

CONGRATS.....I SMOKED 2 PACKS A DAY FOR 7 YEARS, QUIT COLD TURKEY 5 YEARS AGO.........IT DOES GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER...BUT HANG IN THERE........IT IS SO WORTH THE EFFORT.....EVERYTHING SMELLS BETTER....INCLUDING YOU, AND YOUR BREATH (LOLOLOLOLOLOL), AND IT SAVES ON YOUR POCKET BOOK ALSO
