I LOVE New Balance, any make/model at all.......they all fit me like they were made for me.

As for the Z-Coils, I've tried them and will definitely consider them if I ever develop plantar fasciitis again.......have had it in each heel now. But I don't want to spend the money on these shoes if I don't have to since I already have $500 orthotic inserts!

Second pair of New Balance 609--love them! Wear nothing but NB since heel spurs 5 years ago.

What's funnier is kids and hubby went shopping for new sneakers a week later---they bought same style!!! Thank goodness they wear larger size.

I did put hubby's on and wonder why so clean one day!

:rotfl:

I wear NB all the time. Currently I have a pair of 805s on and I have a new pair packed up somewhere, which I will break out once I get into a place I can call home. Also, I make a little addition to every pair of shoes I have bought for the past decade +. I buy a pair of spenco inserts--cross trainers I believe (the thickest ones). The make such a difference when I'm working out. Plus I have very sensitive feet. They cost like $29.99, and have since the beginning of time. I can't imagine wearing shoes without them.

I got some NB shoes this Dec. They are all white, not sure of the model number. They are the best I have ever had. And the price was right....$30. Easy to throw those away at that price.....instead of the $150 Z-Coils some of my friends wear.

New Balance does make a fine sneaker. Their factory store is about 10 miles down the road from me. I am in there forever trying them on to get that perfect fit. Each pair feels better, but in a different way than the one I tried on before it. It gets utterly confusing trying to find the exact right pair!

I am an NB guy from way back I have every type they make in my size at one time or another, I wear 16eeee so I also buy them for other reason than work I have a great pair of NB dress shoes too. Just find the right size and be good to your feet!

I wear New Balance 810. I have had Birkenstock, Dansko, and many others and I have to say I like New Balance the best.

I'm a NB fan, too, and find they fit my narrow heel and orthotics best, too. I wear 810's for work and 445's for walking/working out. They're both all white which I prefer for work. The 445's have better support than my work shoes (810), but the 810 has a clean, more streamlined look that I like for work. I also invest in Spenco "Walking" insoles for all my shoes-- I remove the original shoe's insoles, and with the Spenco's, my orthotics fit great. Here's a site for those who want to know about Spenco: http://www.spenco.com/

I also spend a lot on socks that are for walking made by Thorlo (they also make socks for tennis, hiking, and running) and highly recommend them for their support and comfort. I've found them at most sporting good stores and they can cost over $10.00 a pair, but they wear like iron, feel like heaven, and absorb perspiration from my sweaty feet. I have high arches and the Thorlo walking socks support the arch and have extra padding in the toe and heel. Here's a website that describes them:
