NELRP 2013 - Who else applied?

Nurses General Nursing

Published

This is my first year applying for the NELRP but I have known about it for about 3 years, I just recently got a job at a facility they recognize. I was wondering if anyone here has applied before and is the process really as long as I have been reading on past threads? Oh, and do they tell you why you don't get it if you get denied? I'm just a little nervous because I need this help greatly! :nailbiting:

hello all!! congrats on getting accepted into this wonderful program. can someone please let me know how to do the debt to salary ratio percentage??

Calculate by (qualified student loan)/salary x 100

29 days and no follow up 2nd email :( it seems it is taking longer this year than past for the second emails, this is not right, everyday I wait for an email, I hate being like this

I just got my initial e-mail today! They actually called me & left a voicemail for me to check my e-mail. I'm still in disbelief. This is my second yr applying.

HPSA 17, tier 1, 168%

Congrats!!! I was so excited when i go the initial email, i would hope they would not send the initial email and then take it away, my stats are same as yours, I am an RN. The only person so far who has received a 2nd email making them a participant was faculty. I received my 1st email on july 2nd this is horrible waiting, i dont want to get my hopes up.

My application still says under review. I'm starting to get nervous. I don't regularly check my spam, (I am now) and just noticed per gmail deletes spam older than 30 days automatically! :-(

[update: I called to double check, the representative I spoke to said the bank emails that go out are time sensitive..... I can't imagine missing out on the opportunity because I just forgot to check my spam email, then it was automatically deleted]

The rep could not tell you that an email was sent or not? I would call back I had a good rep gave me more info and others who say nothing more than what is online. I have not seen a lot of RN's that got the initial yet, it's still early I guess, but really it's not!

I'm sorry that post was confusing. I did not receive an email. The rep confirmed it was still under review. but she also stated as an FYI that the emails are known to go to spam, and are time sensitive. They apparently do not attempt to contact you another way. It's just crazy to me that you could miss an opportunity over something like that.

Not your fault, All I meant was that hopefully if you did get the email in your spam the rep could have told you it was sent or not, I also saw someone's post last year and they missed the email time limit and it was still ok.

Very good to know! :-D

Actually I am a staff nurse and got my INITIAL email in early June. I got my acceptance/award letter on July 5th. I was one of the first to hear back and I am not an NP or staff. The initial email got sent to my spam folder and if I had not randomly logged in to check status, I would have lost my opportunity for this program because they did not contact me in any other way. I almost missed the deadline. I should get my first payment into my bank account within the next 2 weeks. My HPSA score was 17, debt to income ration was 240%, was obsiously in highest point of tier one.

Wow that is good to know thanks for sharing, makes me nervous this is ridiculous how spaced apart people are notified. Well I will just keep waiting any day now or I will assume I didi not get it, I'm really nervous now.
