NELRP 2012 Is there a thread?
Register Today!- by JudithL_in_NH Mar 1, '12Hi, all--
Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program in 2012?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
Print and share with friends and family.
Compliments of allnurses.com.

- Mar 4, '12 by pupperI'm glad you started this thread! I'm already anxious for any news and the new HPSA funding preferences are making my doubts creep in....I hope someone hears something soon.
- Mar 5, '12 by dizzymisslizziei think this is the only thread for nelrp 2012! i also submitted my application, and i'm anxious to hear about it "no later than october 31"... sigh!

Thanks for starting this thread. Have you spoken with a representative regarding your application? Do you know the preference number they have assigned you? The wait is going to feel like forever!!
Good luck

I have a question, equifax checked my student loans on 2/24, only my student loans? Is that to soon for HRSA to be checking? I have read some of the old posts and they talk about their loans being checked? - Mar 6, '12 by silvermoondust45I am a little disappointed because when I spoke to Anthony at the HRSA call center, he told me that my application was already in review. However, when I signed back on to check my status online, it said received, review not started. I don't understand why he said that. He even explained that if they don't find an issue within 30 days, then it will go into phase 2 of the review. I am baffled as to why he would say something like this. I was wondering about the preference number because on the instructions it says that your application is immediately given a funding preference number, I don't know mine though.
Good luck to all of you! - Mar 6, '12 by silvermoondust45Quote from tgonzalezHopefully they were checking to ensure your student loans were not in default. I'd take this as a positive sign because the instructions stated that they will be checking your credit related to student loans. You can always go back on line and check your application status. Do you have a high debt ratio? They said they start reviewing the highest debt ratio 1st.Hi everyone! Good luck!
