NELRP is there a thread?

Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

Finally my application is under review! It's been so long but at least they are reviewing it and I have my fingers crossed! Has anyone that was already under review heard any good new yet? Do they contact you while under review for more information or do we still just wait it out? Good luck everyone:)

Congrats on having your application reviewed! That's exciting! I was wondering if anyone knew if they reviewed the applications in a particular order? I wonder if it's the order in which they are received, by work place location, or by debt ratio? Anyone have any input on this? I was wondering because a coworker of mine said her application is currently under review, but mine is not. My debt ratio is worse than hers but I think I picked the wrong location on my application for my workplace. They only had option for my workplace location on there drop down menu (and it had the same address as my hospital) but it said ambulatory center and I work at a hospital. Hmmm...I wonder if I screwed this up! :(

My application has been under review since the week after the deadline...but I noticed something weird recently. I just viewed my completed application by downloading the pdf off the portal and I noticed that on the last page there is a list of submitted documents...it includes all of the pages we had to submit plus a credit report (which makes sense) and a document called "excluded party list". It makes me nervous. I called HRSA and the phone rep couldn't tell me anything about it. Has anyone else viewed their application and seen this?

That sounds like really good news! I looked on mine and it doesn't have any "excluded party list", mine has been in review since a few days/week before closing.......I didn't download anything, just looked online. Did you print something off or just look at "view your submitted application"? Good luck!!!!

Congatulations on being under review!!!! I haven't heard anything yet and I've been under review for quite a while......I looked at some old posts and I think May was the first I had seen anyone contacted....Good luck!!!!

tgonzalez- I clicked "view my submitted application" which gave me a PDF version. it was on the last page under submitted documents....

I have been under review since I submitted, no change in my "view submitted application." fingers still crossed. I know of one nurse at my site who got the NELRP for 3 years. So it is possible.

Hopefully you will get accepted since you know that someone from your facility was. I have read conflicting comments in old postings regarding VA nurses. One said VA nurses have received the assistance and another said no VA nurse has ever received it. I did call and asked if VA nurses can apply and they said yes, so hopefully it all works out!

Good Luck to Everyone:)

Hi! I am new to this, but am a first time applicant to NELRP. I was looking back at last years "threads" and was wondering about dates changing on the application regarding the loans. Has anyone noticed this? It sounds like the application process is strictly online this year unlike last year of having to send/fax loan info in, and although my application has been under review for a few weeks I have not noticed any changes to any dates. Good luck to all of you!

I was also reading all the threads from last year and saw where people were talking about their loan dates changing and exclamation points behind their names. My loan has been in review since the beginning of January but I havent noticed any changes to anything yet. I think that our process this year will be different than those in the past due to it being completely online this year. What is everyones Debt/Salary ratio and HPSA scores? Mine is 120% and HPSA 14. Good Luck everyone!

My debt/salary ratio is 116% and my hpsa score is 17. It makes me sad how many of us that chose a career in nursing have ended up in such debt without salaries to make the debt worth while. Don't get me wrong-I love caring for others!!! But I earned my MSN in Nursing Ed and can't even find a job teaching because they all want teaching experience!! Good Luck to everybody
