Maybe the have not gone through the graduation ceremony or officially graduated but have completed and passed all classes. That would be the only way they would qualify for seating pass for NCLEX.
Were you a good student in school? I would say then it is highly likely you will pass on the 1st try. Remember around 88% of first time testers pass the NCLEX. It is measuring minimum ability to practice safetly.
Bottom line, In my nursing class all the good students passed and even some of the borderline ones did. Only a few students failed and they strugged all the way through school.
