I once worked with someone who really was a nasty twit of a sociopath. Everybody knew it, but nothing was done about her behavior until she killed someone.

Find a job elsewhere. No one cares that you are being bullied anyway (where you are working that is).

Life is too short for that kind of petty ****.

Is what you are going through really worth it? Will it ever get better or get worse? It is truly unfortunate that you're having to go through this but sometimes you have to choose your battles or walk away. You are the only one staying up at night worrying about it, so it's your call. Good luck!!

I am being targeted by a bully at work, who has been nit-picking, spreading malicious gossip and trying to isolate me and make life hell. I have done nothing to deserve this behavior, and it makes me angry, to the point of going from an eager and positive employee to neurotic, negative and moody. What's worse, is that the DON (who is not very bright) has been hoodwinked into believing this bully is the hardest working workaholic there, in spite of her work history revealing the opposite. Still, the DON supports the bully while choosing to snub me.
Oh my, this sounds JUST LIKE a CNA I used to work with back when I was a spring chicken. Wow, it could totally be the same person.

This was back in the days when we worked 8 hour shifts. This particular aide worked 3pm to 7am, EVERY SINGLE DAY. She had every single nurse in the facility in her pocket and yeah, she was there 16 hours a day, every day, but the funny thing is, she never did ANY work while she was there. It was as if her presence was enough. She also liked to start things to make herself look better and everyone else look worse.

To this day, she is probably revered as the best CNA in history when in truth, she was one of the worst. Rude and rough with residents, etc. But, hey, none of that stuff mattered because she worked 2 shifts. Every day.

Nice way to talk about a co-worker.
It's much, much nicer (and more truthful) than what she has said about me.

True, you didn't start that thread. But I can see where the confusion may have happened, as apparently you're another victim of beauty:

I have above average looks myself, and I've wondered if this may be one of the reasons (I'll just nicely call her a post menopausal, crispy-crunchy from the tanning bed, gossipy, nasty skank) hates me so much, because she recently succeeded in seeing to the termination of another nurse with above average looks and personality as well.

Yet you conveniently omitted the rest of my post on that...
