silverbelle,

I would like to recommend CHRISTUS Santa Rosa. I'm sure they would LOVE to have a nurse with your qualifictions! They are an award winning (top 50 in the US) hospital system - opening up a brand new facility also. PM me and I will be glad to provide you with contact information for their nurse recruiters.

I live and work in San Antonio. Do you know where you will be living? That is a big consideration to what hospitals might be good for you. San Antonio is huge (very spread out) and to avoid an hour drive to work everyday you should consider this. That being said, I have heard good things about Methodist Transplant Hospital, and everyone I know who works for The Christus Santa Rosa Hospitals is really happy. If you would rather PM me and tell me the area you will be looking at, feel free.

I don't know if CCU has openings here at Audie Murphy VA Hospital, but if you can get in here it is definitely a better deal than civilian. RNs here get good benefits and the pay is competitive. I also know the nurse manager over CCU and she is terrific
