Mollen Immunizations

Just a heads up and warning to nurses looking for a seasonal job during flu season. Mollen Immunizations will hire you, they will hire any nurse as long as they are licensed. (Deadline has already passed for this flu season but keep this in mind next flu season) They are over-hiring and not paying their 'employees' for the training as they promised they would. They hired 50,000 nurses this season with no clinics available to the vast majority of us. They made is sound like this would be a 40 hour a week job and you would make 20-22 dollars and hour, well I had been counting on this for a while and holding off on other job offers because $800 a week was looking very attractive to me at the time. Now I am unemployed and seriously holding a grudge against Mollen because I feel like they cheated me. They hired so many nurses just to make sure their a** was covered. Not to mention, I completed the training and was never compensated for it. They say you will be compensated upon working your first shift with them. Well, how convenient. Some have good opinions of Mollens, and I'm sure I would too if I actually got to do some work through them, but they screwed me over instead and I am just warning you that this is a possibility for you as well if you get employed through them in the future. It happened to one of my friends as well. Still very disappointing.

Same thing happened to me. The so called one hour online training took closer to five hours to complete. In addition the paperwork took forever to complete. They knew they were wasting a lot of nurses time but they way over hired just to make sure they were covered. Mollen Immunizations has no integrity.

A lot of us figured this out after the first two or three times we were even able to log onto their website. They won't get the time of day from me in the future. Nor will I give them a positive mention. I worked for them in the past, now they treat me this way. No second chance for this. If I want abuse from employers, I have better ones to get it from.

Heh, I got REALLY weird vibes off of them while just on the phone.

Then the other thing was that they were paying $8 less per hour than other clinics.

I am glad my nursy sense steered me correctly!

I too thought it was going to get me thru this tough economic time... I did work a whole 2 shifts!!! I had 12 scheduled... I had to cancel the first 2 I had because I had bronchitis... and then it hit the fan and they cancelled the majority of their clinics nationally because of the serum shortage...

I was very unhappy being the ONLY nurse running a clinic... and being responsible for all the insurance B**S**T..... I am a nurse!!! NOT an insurance biller

I MIGHT try again next year... but I will do it with my eyes WIDE open and not count on making a living doing it

Nurse Re: Mollen Immunizations
This was my first season working for Mollen. I only worked one shift. I did have the opportunity to work a few more (just in that one week) but couldn't because of my regular job. Upon completion of the shift, I was paid right away, including the so-called 'hour' of training. I wasn't under the impression I'd have multiple shifts, but had hoped for a heck of a lot more than what there was. I didn't like setting up the clinic alone on my first day, but I got 'er done and had fun with it.
