Mollen Immunization Clinic - What's your experience?

Updated Aug 27, 2009 at 07:17 AM by sirI

The flu season quickly approaches, so I am looking at doing some flu shot clinics. Healthwaves and Mollen are two big facilities that set up flu clinics.

Any one know anything about them? Hours they do? How they are to work for? Money?

I worked for Healthwaves and they were great to work for. The pay was only $15 hour, but at the time I needed to be out and doing some work. I met some fun people and felt they were just fine to work for and with.
They were extremely flexable with time and assignments. You could probably get as much work as you wanted through them.
I did find the general public somewhat annoying though!
Good luck. Let us know what you have found out and what you choose to do.

Question Mollen Immunization Clinic
Mollen Immunization Clinic:

I saw there ad online in Career Builder, interested in RN's for flu clinics (seasonal), rate $22 hourly.
Does anyone has/had any experience with this company? (good or bad)
Is this company " for real"?

Just like most of the new grad's on this board, I'm a new RN but don't have a year or more experience so that=no work! I do have a few months of experience at a health department as a LPN, in which I gave shots daily, so this would be a good opportunity for me to earn some extra cash.

I've worked for them in the past and will work for them again this season. They hire new grads with no experience, so don't worry about that.

Mollen pays around $20 an hour for RN, not the greatest money but it is money. You can pretty much choose where you work and how much you work. You choose the shifts online. The shifts are either 4, 6, or 8 hours in length. It's a pretty good part time job that allows you to pick up some extra money in these poor economic times. The only draw back is that sometimes you are the only person running the clinic. I would recommend it as a temporary part time job.

I worked for Mollen last year, and have already registered to work with them again this year. I really enjoyed the experience. I found staff to be very friendly and supportive, and I also made a couple of new friends in the process. Great way to bring in a little extra spending money, and keep your injection skills!

I just signed up too... is there plenty of work available? I imagine this might vary from region to region but in general was wondering if there is a wide variety of hours available.
