Re: Mollen Immunization Clinic
Per Mollen's FAQ's that I received:
a. Yes, partial vials will be used
first before opening a new vial to control inventory costs. These are multi-use vials. Think about the multi-access vials in the hospital. Whoever accesses the vial first labels it with the time and date accessed. Depending upon the vial, most are considered sterile for 30 days. Mollen takes precautions to manage the temperature and maintain sterility of all their vials (partial or full.)
b. Regarding staffing, although not optimal, factors beyond their control (such as calling in sick) may result in only one nurse running the clinic. As new grads, you're going to determine your comfort level with this situation. This would have been difficult for me when I was fresh out of school... Make sure you are comfortable with emergency procedures if someone decided to crash if you were there alone.
Hope this helps.
