Oh don't say that! I have to come to Minneapolis on business in March.......is it usually better by then??????

I work for a company called ActivStyle. Ever hear of them?

We have openings days and nights in ICU and CVICU, as well as ER, step down charge, M/S asst Nurse Mgr. Not sure what the salary range is but there are levels for degrees and certification. For sure we're in the $30-32/hr range, could be more but I'm not privy to that information.

It is a bit cloudy here, no rain, and in the 60s. Here being the San Fernando Valley (greater Los Angeles).

I recall hearing we were bringing in nurses from the UK sometime in the near future. If you want more information PM me and I'll give you the names and numbers/email addresses to make contact.

Thanks for the reply, California sounds good about now. Any good hospitals that you recommend. I am looking to work in a unit that has the IABP, CRRT and pre-heart transplant patients. Probably a pretty big hospital.

There are a number of critical care forums on this BB that you might find useful.

Also look through earlier threads, there are many on this same topic.

Awwww. C'mon! I'm from a Minneapolis suburb and relocated to Atlanta.

Know where I'd much rather live my existence? MINNEAPOLIS

The cold just reminds you you're alive. Plus...It can be so dang pretty. People live longer there too. My husband (a georgia/alabama boy) admitted after a visit there this summer that Minnesota had to be one of the most perfect/beautiful places to be during the summer.

Needless to say, I miss it...

Maybe pretty in summer, but the skeeters will carry you away. That and you can have the humidity that goes w/the 90 degree temps!

Well. True. They ARE the unofficial Minnesota State Bird... :chuckle

Ahh...but the humming of skeeters outside my window lulled me to sleep in my childhood years..hehe. ;)
