Memorial Sloan Kettering- interview help

Hi Everyone,
I am a new grad RN and MSKCC has contacted me to meet for an interview. I believe she was a recruiter from HR and not a manager. I have no idea what kind of questions are going to be asked. Will she ask me oncology topics aside from the general questions? Also, what kind of behavioral questions do they usually ask? Greatly appreciated for your responses everyone! I'm so excited ...and nervous!

I worked at Sloan but not as a floor nurse, but can provide you with some insight on what it's like there. First, it is a GREAT place to work, everyone (except the patients) are professional and almost excessively polite. The hospital has tons of money so is very well staffed. Every floor is specialized and therefore have their own process and culture. The charting is almost all electronic, there are computers outside every room. The nurses have these cool communicators and call anyone by just saying their name. The patients however can be very difficult -but there is a patient representive on every floor ( most hospitals have just one). I would expect questions on how you would handle highly demanding patients. The patient mix is also highly diverse, so you might get questioned on that. (We had a whole inservice on how to deal with Russian patients) You might get questioned on how you deal with relatively young patients with children dying, but I doubt it.
Good luck!

I know 2 friends that have interviewed there. They both met with the same HR recruiter and in their experience, it wasn't much of an interview. The recruiter mainly told them what the facility was like and went through their resumes and asked questions based on that--nothing specific to Oncology.

Do you have onocology experience? And when is your interview? Message me and I can possibly give you more details of their interview. I know they won't mind me asking.

Good Luck!!
