    Quote from Sour Lemon
I don't understand people who need the help of strangers to make simple decisions like, "Should I work days or nights?" Which do you want to work?
Yet they are going into a profession that involves making life or death decisions.......

"I have applied for 100 jobs and no one will hire me! I don't understand!! I have a 4.0 GPA and was valedictorian in high school, captain of the volley ball team, deans list every year, president of the chess club, and prom queen!!! Doesn't that count for something?!?!?!"

How do I get a job in the ED/NICU/ICU/L&D?

Um, same way that you get any other job...

    "everybody is bullying me"

What really bugs me is when they come on and ask for advice and then when they receive said advice they don't like it and get all pissy. Then they start saying everyone is u bunch of mean old bully nurses who must treat their patients horribly.

Yall are killing me! I personally hate the HEEELLLPPP!?!? Confused!!! Apply to JPTLQ/ROMT or BHRTG SPRING QUARTER 2019!!! ones. Although, I'd just like to never ever hear the word bulling again.
Ah yes, the super geographically-specific posts with acronyms that only people living in that county would know, that are in the General forum are also winners...

As someone who plans to take the TEAS exam next spring and periodically checks that section...

"I need some advice on the TEAS because I have not bothered to look at previous posts with the exact same question or the articles from people who did well" or "I have failed the TEAS x number of times and need some advice on how to pass, but I won't ever tell you what I am doing now to study." I also just "love" *insert eye roll* when a poster asks the same question repeatedly within a relatively short period of time. We have read your question the other ten times and still 1) have no idea what you are talking about and are waiting for you to provide more details that another person already asked for 2) already replied to a previous post you must have not read because you were so busy basically reposting the same question 3) do not have the time, energy, or mental strength to answer your question at that exact moment (or ever).

People who are desperate to be nurses (it's been my lifelong dream) but are petrified of shots, blood, poop, various kinds of equipment, and elevators. But can I still be a nurse? I need advice ASAP! Uh... I don't think you're gonna like what I'm about to advise you.

I need to interview an RN/LVN/unit specific nurse. They made no real attempt to find any nurse to talk to in real life & their interview paper is due in <24hr. Then the poster gets *so* upset when no one is willing to get "interviewed".

Then there are the brand new nurses with 3 weeks of experience who think all the "old nurses" need to get out of the way and let them have it. Makes me want to go, "Here honey, you can have my CVI/Open Heart job. Been doing critical care for 38 years and I still don't have a clue what I'm doing. I know absolutely nothing about technology. I need a wheelchair to get to a code." Shuffling off to the old folks home now.

Somebody told me to get another job because she wanted and deserved mine! Well, she finally got a job on the unit, passed her probationary period and promptly went on disability and hasn't been sen since!

    What am I doing wrong?
