These are links to the listings of the officially approved LPNs schools of nursing for each of the states listed below. Merely, go to the website and pull up the listing. Also, on the state boards of nursing, you may find information on tuition assistance. The individual schools of nursing should all have websites as well where you can search for tuition assistance information.

This thread on the CNA-Nursing Assistant Forum of allnurses (
http://allnurses.com/forums/f265/complete-list-cna-registries-171787.html) contains a link to each of the U.S. state nursing registries where you can get information on how to become a CNA (certified nursing assistant) or STNA (state tested nursing assistant) in that state. Many of the web sites will have a list of where you can get the training. In some cases you may have to call the state registry on the phone to get that information, but you will be able to get the official address and phone number of these state agencies from the list on allnurses.
You should also check with the New York Department of Education to see if there is tuition assistance for any training programs available to you. It is sometimes a surprise to find out what is available to help with paying for school. NYDE should have a website that you can find easily through a Google search.
Good luck to you.
