Lpn or Rn school

Hi everyone! I am new to this site an I have already found it very helpful. I am a mother of three children, a business owner and a wife. My life is busy however I really want to go back and finish nursing school. I don't really have the time to go back to Akron U , which is where I started. I think I need to take it slow and I was wondering what some of the best schools are? I have looked into a few however I would love to gather some personal experiences from all of you. LPN or ADN programs in the Akron area are currently what I am looking at. Thank you all for taking the time!!

ADN, all the way. The scope of practice difference between an LPN and an RN is not that much...you will basically be doing the same work.. But the difference in pay is significant. If you are going to be doing nurse work, get paid for it in my opinion.

Thank you for your reply and I agree...do you have any recomendations for schools in the Akron area? n Thank you for you help!!

ADN all the way....your options are usually limited to LTC as an LPN and are limitless as an RN. It's just an extra year (in my program anyway). I live in MI and an area hospital is firing most of its LPNs. I am an LPN now working in LTC, but will finish in Dec. with the ADN degree....Good luck to you, whatever you decide.
