Looking at Nursing for a career change...

I am currently 30yrs old with sole custody of my 3 yr old son and I am thinking very seriously of leaving my job as a Quality Auditor. For me leaving my job at this stage is a little frightening considering I make a little more now than I will after I complete an ADN course but I do want to do something that has a little more personal satisfaction than what I am doing now. Does anyone out there have any advice? How about the REAL difference between the BSN and ADN programs. Keep in mind most of what I have learned so far is from researching this site!
