A little advice , please

I am not sure what to do, any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am a student and soon will be starting the LPN program, I am real excited and can't wait to start. Anyway, here is my question, I want to further my education after I graduate, should I take a part time job after graduation and keep going to classes or should I work a year to gain experience and then go back to school? I really want to be an RN.

I aslo have another question. A friend mentioned a program(RN) to me the other day that anoher college is offering, but it sounds a little fishy t me. It only meets on the weekends. Friday evenin is classes, Sat is clinicals and Sun is lectures. Wouldn't that take forever?

That sounds like the type program I did. It was a weekends only program. Only covered the nursing stuff, though. I had to get my pre-req's before I started.

Took me 2 years to get my degree. Really worked into my life at the time, but was pretty stressful. I worked a full time office job and had a family through the first year.

I remember day dreaming about Thanksgiving break because I knew that would be my first chance to get more than 4-5 hours sleep in a night. And that was in August :roll

so,the weekend classes are legit? I have just never heard of this and was curious. I have finished all the pre-req's except for the math. Are the weekend classes harder than if you had gone full time? I think the weekend classes might work better for me because I have 3 kids, but the college is 1hr45m away. It would be a very long drive unless I stayed the weekend and came home Sunday after the lectures. My husband may not like that idea.
