Job Dilemma!!! Need advice

Nurses General Nursing

Okay so i graduated in May of 2016... Passed my boards in July 2016... It has been a very long and tough world out there for new graduate nurses. I have had many interviews with different hospitals with all of them eventually telling me that they would rather someone with "experience".

Here is the pickle I am in: I have had two interviews for two different New Grad RN Programs. One is at a smaller community hospital and another is at a level one trauma center in Boston. I just got an offer from the community hospital but obviously this is my second pick. They want an answer within 24-48 hours but my absolute dream job is the one in Boston. My next interview is coming up for the program in Boston in a couple days (this will be my second interview, after they already called all my references).

Do i accept the job I was offered? What if I get offered the Boston job within the next week or so? or should I ask the smaller hospital for more time to think about it?

Thank you so much in advance!

I would tell them that you need more time to decide. That is the truth.

If they won't give you more time to decide ... accept their offer. Then if you get the job in Boston, tell them that your situation has changed and that you can't accept their offer after all. Try to avoid signing anything until after you know for sure about Boston.
